About the Company

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our growing team, specialising in commercial new build projects. This role is essential to the successful electrical delivery on a wide range of large-scale construction sites, including offices, retail units, warehouses, and mixed-use developments. You will be responsible for the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems as well as the associated containment, ensuring all work is compliant, efficient, and completed to the highest standards.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, terminate, and commission electrical systems in commercial new builds (e.g., lighting, power distribution, data, and fire alarm systems).

• Carry out containment work including conduit, trunking, traywork, and ladder racks.

• Pull and install power and data cables throughout new-build sites.

• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and layout plans.

• Perform testing, inspection, and fault-finding in line with BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations).

• Collaborate with site managers, supervisors, and other trades to ensure efficient and timely delivery.

• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance on-site.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).

• Valid ECS Gold Card (essential).

• Proven experience working on commercial new build projects.

• Familiarity with a wide range of electrical containment systems.

• Strong understanding of BS 7671 and current industry standards.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Full UK driving licence (preferred for mobile or multi-site roles).
