My Architectural Client are looking for an Architectural Technologist to join their design and construction team.

You will be responsible for developing and coordinating detailed technical drawings, ensuring compliance with regulations and codes, and supporting the architectural team through all stages of design and construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce detailed architectural and technical drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD software.
  • Prepare planning and building regulation applications.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors throughout project stages.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to assess project requirements.
  • Ensure all drawings and documentation comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
  • Resolve technical issues that arise during design or construction.
  • Maintain project documentation, drawing registers, and specifications.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology or related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within architecture, construction, or property development.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and other industry-standard design software.
  • Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and planning laws.
  • Excellent technical detailing skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Skills and Experience: - Proven experience as an Estimator within the civil engineering, groundworks, with a strong focus on groundworks. - Solid understanding of civil engineering and groundworks methodologies, including drainage, foundations, earthworks, road construction, and utility installations. - Comprehensive knowledge of the construction tendering process, including the preparation of bids - A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Quantity Surveying (HND, HNC, or Degree level). - Professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB, or equivalent) would be an advantage.
